Cut Potato, carrot, beans and capsicum into small pieces.
Pressure cook with very little water, salt (just the salt needed for vegetables) and turmeric powder for 2 whistles.
Drain out the excess water from cooked vegetables and keep separately.
Chop onion, tomato, ginger and garlic into fine pieces.
Dice the bread into medium sized cubes.

In a kadai add ghee, when hot add mustard seeds.
When mustard splutters add onion, ginger and garlic and sauté.
Fry until onion is golden brown and add tomato. Wait till it mashes nicely. Now add chilli powder, garam masala and salt to it and sauté for 2 minutes.
Now add the drained water and cook for few minutes.
Add the cooked vegetables and sauté.
Now add the diced bread, give a quick stir till the bread is coated well and turn off the stove.
Top it with tomato ketchup if needed.

Note: Watch out for the bread you are using to make upma. If you are using salt bread then you need not add salt at all.

You can add green chillies to this upma if you like spice.
You can also roast the bread on a pan before adding to upma.

Serve it hotJ See you in another recipe!
