Basmati Rice – 2 cups
Corn – 1 to 1½ cup
Capsicum – 1 (optional)
Onion – 1
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Garlic – 2 cloves
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Green chilli – 2
Water – 2 ½ cup
Salt – to taste
Ghee – 3 tsp
Cumin seeds – 2 tsp
Wash the rice till it runs clear. Strain and keep it aside
Chop onion, ginger, garlic, capsicum into fine pieces.
Slit green chilli into two pieces.
Add ghee in the cooker and when hot add cumin seeds.
Add onion and sauté then add finely chopped garlic and ginger.
When onion turns pink add chopped capsicum, corn and garam masala.
Saute it well for some time.
Add the soaked rice to it and sauté it for a minute.
Now add water, salt and close the cooker with the lid.
Allow the cooker for 2 whistles and turn of the stove.
Serve it hot with Onion raita and potato chips.
