Milagu Kolambu


Milagu Kolambu:

This recipe is very good for relieving cold . Generally my mom makes this in rainy season. This goes well with paruppu thogaiyal . I shall post the recipe of paruppu thogaiyal soon.



Ingredients:

Coriander seeds – 2 spoons
Black Pepper – 2 spoons
Toor dhal – 2 spoons
Tamrind – small lemon sized
Asafoetida / hing – ½ tsp
Curry leaves – few
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp

Preparation:

Soak the tamarind in warm water for sometime
Fry the Coriander seeds, Black Pepper,  Toor dhal, pinch of hing and curry leaves in little oil and grind it in a mixie to a paste.

Method:
Extract the tamarind juice and discard the pulp.
Mix the grinded paste with the tamarind juice.
In a kadai, add little oil, when hot add mustard seeds, hing and curry leaves.
When mustard splutters, add the mixture and boil it till raw smell disappears.

It’s now ready to be served. Bye for nowJ
