Tomato Chutney

Tomato Chutney:


Onion – 2 (medium sized)
Tomato – 3 (medium sized)
Green chilli – 2
Red chilli - 1
Coriander leaves – handful
Garlic – 3 cloves
Salt – to taste

For Tempering:

Oil - little
Mustard – 1 tsp
Urad dhal – ½ tsp
Chana dhal – ½ tsp
Red chilli – 2
Asafotedia / Hing – ½ tsp
Curry leaves - few


Chop onion and tomato roughly.


Heat oil in a kadai, when hot add onions. Saute till its pink in color.
Add tomato to it and sauté for some time till tomatoes are done.
Turn off the gas and allow it to cool.
Grind this in a mixie along with salt, green chilli, red chilli, garlic, coriander leaves to a paste.

Do the tempering.

Toamto Chutney is readyJ This goes well with  bread, idli, upma and all varieties of dosa.
