Green peas – 1 cup
Paneer – 200 gms
Onion – 1
Tomato – 2
Green chilli - 2
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Dhaniya powder – 1 tsp
Cumin powder– 1 tsp
Garam masala – ½ tsp
Fresh Cream - 2 tsp (optional)
Coriander leaves – few
Salt – to taste
Ghee – 3 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Cut panner in to cubes and set aside. Put them in hot water to make them soft.
Pressure cook green peas till soft. Drain and set aside. Do not discard the water.
Chop onion and tomatoes roughly.
In a pan add 1 tsp ghee and add chopped onions.
Sauté well till onion turns pink, now add green chillies and tomatoes.
Wait till the tomatoes are mashed.
Make a paste of onion, tomato and green chilli in a mixie.
Now in a Kadai add 2 tsp ghee, when hot add cumin seeds.
When cumin seeds splutter add the grinded paste, ginger garlic paste and sauté well.
Wait till the ghee separates from the mixture, now add all the powders, salt and sauté well.
Add the green peas and sauté for a minute. Add the paneer cubes and mix it gently.
If you find the consistency thick add the drained water (from green peas).
Simmer the stove and leave it for 5 minutes.
Finally add the fresh cream and coriander leaves and turn off the flame.
Serve it with chapathi, roti, naan, parathas J See you in another recipe!
