Bread Potato Rolls:
Ingredients:
Bread – 4 slices
Bread crumbs – 2 tsp
Potato – 3
Onion – 1
Coriander leaves – few
Salt – to taste
Green chilli - 2
Chilli powder – 2 tsp
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Preparation:
Peel and steam potatoes. Mash them nicely and keep aside.
Chop onions and green chillies into fine pieces.
Method:
Place the mashed potatoes in a bowl.
Add
chopped onion, green chilli, red chilli powder, bread crumbs, coriander leaves,
salt and garam masala to it
Mix
it nicely it all the ingredients are incorporated well.
Remove
the crust from the bread (the brown portion around the bread), use only white
portion for making rolls.
Dip
the bread in little water, squeeze out the excess water and spread it in your
hands.
Place
2 tsp of the filling in one end of the bread and gently roll it out by making
sure that filling stays well inside.
Roll
the bread completely and deep fry it in hot oil.
Repeat
this for all the slices of bread.
Variation:
You
can grind the removed crust from the bread, in a mixie and add it to mashed
potato instead of bread crumbs.
You
can increase and decrease the green chilli / chilli powder if needed.
Serve
it hot with tomato / chilli sauseJ See you in another recipe!
