Kadambam Chutney

Kadambam Chutney:

This goes well with idli, upma, chapatti and all varieties of dosa.

Onion – 1
Tomato – 1
Green Chilli – 2
Urad dhal – 2 tsp
Coriander leaves – few
Garlic – 1 clove
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Curry leaves - few


Roughly chop the onion, tomato and green chilli.

Heat oil in a pan add urad dhal and fry it till its brown in color. Remove urad dhal and keep aside.
In the same pan add tomato and cook till its mushy.  Turn off the flame and allow it to cool.
Grind onion, tomato, urad dhal, green chilli, ginger, garlic, coriander leaves, curry leaves in a mixie to a  paste.

Kadambam chutney is ready.
