Peanut Chutney:
Ingredients:
Peanuts – 1 small cup
Onion (small) – 1
Tamarind – 1 inch piece
Red Chillies – 5
Ginger – small piece
Garlic – 2 pods
Grated Coconut – 2 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Oil – 1 spoon
Salt – to taste
For Tempering:
Oil
- little
Mustard
– 1 tspRed chilli – 1 (broken into pieces)
Asafotedia / Hing – ½ tsp
Curry leaves - few
Preparation:
Chop the onion roughly into small pieces.
Break the red chillies into small pieces.
Method:
Heat
1 table spoon of oil in a Kadai.
Add
the peanuts, broken red chillies, chopped onions and sauté till the peanuts is
well roasted.In the same Kadai add the tamarind, curry leaves, ginger and garlic and sauté it for few seconds and turn off the flame.
Wait for it to cool and grind it to a smooth paste in a mixie.
Do the tempering.
Peanut
chutney is ready.
